Doing the Disney Dining Plan for your next Walt Disney World vacation?  Here’s the Best Disney Dining Plan Snacks that are Gluten Free!

When it comes to the Disney Dining Plan many people have a definitive opinion on it. Some love it and love the good value, while others feel like you have to eat high priced items to get your money’s worth.

If you aren’t familiar, the Disney Dining Plan gives you a certain number of quick service credits to be used at quick service restaurants in the theme parks, a number of snack credits, and the higher tier plan also gives you table service meals as well.

You can purchase the dining plan or sometimes you gain it through a promotion while you are booking your Disney Vacation.

My family happened upon this  free dining promotion recently and it allowed us to try out some restaurants that we might not normally have tried – including Cinderella’s Royal Table!

One common question about the Disney Dining Plan is “What can you buy with the snack credits?”   This can be especially mystifying when you are dealing with a special diet or allergy.

Today I’m going to dive into some of the best snacks (gluten free) that you can buy using your Disney Dining plan credits!

1) Dole Whip

dole whip

Dole Whip is my number one personal favorite way to use Disney dining plan snack credits.

This delicious non-dairy soft serve is gluten free and available in multiple flavors throughout the parks.

Pineapple is the classic flavor and my favorite snack, but you can also find strawberry, orange and more!

3 of the parks have Dole Whip currently including Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.

2) Beignets

beignets

Did you know Beignets are counted as a snack credit?!  This is definitely one of the best value snacks out there.

For this one of a kind delicious gluten free treat, you’ll need to resort hop over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort to visit Scat Cat’s Club Cafe.

Beignets are soft square doughnuts which are deep fried and covered in powered sugar. They are served nice and hot with sweet dipping sauces.

These delicious snacks are a must do for the gluten free community and definitely one of the best uses of snack credits.

3) GF Brownie Ice Cream Sundae

The GF Brownie Ice Cream Sundae at Hollywood Scoops in Hollywood Studios is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Definitely a popular stop for those of us who are gluten free!

This popular snack item features an allergy friendly brownie with a hot fudge sundae topped with sprinkles, and a cherry on top!

Such a great value for your Disney dining snack credits at this ice cream shop!

4) Popcorn

You can grab gluten free popcorn in all of the parks! The normal popcorn at all the carts is gluten free.

Plus you can find gluten free maple popcorn in Canada at Epcot that has a fun maple flavor.

If you are over in Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You can find 2 different gluten free options there.

The blue popcorn called Buttered Blue Grains is regular flavored (but a fun color!) and the Outpost Popcorn Mix is a spicy sweet combo.

5) Kakigori

Want to cool off? Try the Kakigori in Japan.

This shaved ice treat is perfect on a hot day and a great use of those snack credits!

6) Poutine

You can find Traditional Poutine at Refreshment Port in Epcot.

This fun dish consists of French Fries, Beef Gravy and Cheese Curds. Such a great filling snack!

**Due to vendors ever changing, I’d advise that you double check to make sure it is gluten free at the time of your visit.

7) Gluten Free Brownies

The Gluten Free Brownies from from quick service locations are another great way to use your snack credits.

These handy treats make a nice night-time snack back at the hotel or to pack along for the trip home.

8) Milk Stand Drinks

You can find 2 fun gluten free drinks at The Milk Stand in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Both the Blue Milk and the Green Milk are gluten free non-dairy drinks made from coconut and rice milks. It’s not milk at all, but rather like a smoothie in texture.

The Blue Milk has a lime, dragon fruit, pineapple, and watermelon flavor.

While the Green milk is a passion fruit, grapefruit, and orange blend.

Blue milk is the more popular option if you are debating between the two!

9) Mickey Ice Cream Bar

The Classic Mickey Ice cream bars are gluten free and on the dining plan!

You can grab one of these classic chocolate covered vanilla ice cream treats at one of the many ice cream carts in the parks.

10) Water or Soda

With the price of Water and Soda as high as it is in the parks, it’s a good use of a snack credit.

Sometimes a cold drink is exactly what you need to give yourself a boost mid-morning or mid-afternoon!

11) Frozen Lemonade

The Minute Maid Frozen Lemonades are gluten free and also on the snack credit list!

My family loves to grab one of these before an afternoon outdoor show. It’s a great way to cool off and it’s nice for our kids to have something to do while waiting for the show to begin. I’ve seen both Lemon and Strawberry flavors in the parks.

12) Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

You can find a gluten free Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich at Epcot in France. Such a fun treat that’s worth checking out at L’Artisan des Glaces.

13) Pre-Packaged Disney Snacks

Another great option for using up snack credits is to visit one of the Disney gift shops.

You can find a variety of prepackaged gluten free snacks including crispy rice bars, Mickey “goldfish” crackers, David’s cookies, and more.

These are great last minute items that you can buy on the last day with any extra credits you might have!

16) Starbucks Drink or Snack

Starbucks Coffee

Did you know you can use your Disney Dining Plan snack credits at Starbucks? You can use them for basically any drink as well as snacks.

Some of the locations like Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom have secret menu items available like gluten free donuts and bagels. Check in and see what they have!

17) The Fry Basket in Epcot

This booth is only set up during the Food & Wine Festival, meaning it’s not available throughout the year at Epcot.

However, over time the Epcot Food & Wine Festival has gotten longer and longer, so the chances of seeing this pop up is pretty high!

During Epcot festivals, The Fry Basket is located near Refreshment Outpost, which is between the China and Germany.

You can find an amazing fry flight which is 3 different types of fries. Also, there are some popular yucca fries available as well. Be sure to check in with the cast member to double check that these are indeed gluten free at the time of your visit.
