Looking for the best things to do at Disney Springs with Kids?
If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disney Springs is a relaxing place to spend one of your non-park days.
What is Disney Springs? It’s a Disney owned outdoor shopping, entertainment and restaurant complex.
You’ll find tons of great food, fun shopping, and other unique entertainment options!
It’s a fun way to be in the magic of the Disney bubble outside the parks.
If you have kids, you might be wondering what Disney Springs has to offer!
We have 4 kids so….we understand!
Here’s some of our favorite kid-friendly places in Disney Springs.
1) Lego Store
This Lego Store is something to behold. There’s so much to see and do!
You’ll find amazing large Lego statues and creations.
Kids can enjoy creating their own mini-figure and there’s a cool pick a brick wall!
Even the adults will find themselves enthralled with all the fun things to check out!
Plus, you’ll love seeing all the crazy large Lego structures. So many cool photo opportunities.
2) A Bakery
Be sure to stop by one of the legendary bakeries at Disney Springs.
One of the most popular bakeries is Gideon’s Bakehouse. They offer one of a kind treats and are known for their secret Limited Edition desserts. It’s a fun and surprising atmosphere that is sure to draw in your older children and teens. It’s so popular, on most days you’ll see a line forming outside the door!
There’s also Amorette’s Patisserie which is a French Style bakery that offers high end pastries, signature cakes and other amazing treats.
If you are looking for an allergy friendly option – you’ll want to check out Erin Mckenna’s Bakery NYC. There’s plenty of gluten free and allergy friendly options…in fact, everything in Erin McKenna’s is gluten free!
3) Raglan Road
Raglan Road Irish Pub is a great place to get a bite to eat.
Kids will enjoy the live music and the Irish dancing performances. It’s one of my family’s favorite things ever! It’s a fully immersive experience.
Plus, their food is incredible and they offer gluten free fried fish and onion rings which are incredibly rare to find on Walt Disney World resort property.
4) World of Disney
The World of Disney Store is absolutely huge. It’s the biggest store of Disney merchandise in the world!
It’s absolutely incredible and so fun for the whole family!
I’d plan to head here last….because chances are….you’ll want to buy something and that way, you don’t have to carry it all day!
5) M&M Store
Your kids are sure to enjoy the M&M’s store!
There’s so many cool photo ops and the wall of colorful M&Ms is a sight to behold.
6) Rainforest Cafe
Kids will love this restaurant. There’s animatronic creatures including birds, elephants, and gorillas that add to the fun jungle atmosphere.
Even if you don’t eat here, be sure to walk past this place! It’s really cool!
7) T-Rex Restaurant
Looking for more kid-friendly restaurants? This Dinosaur themed restaurant is made for your dino loving kids!
Kids get to be archaeologists and dig for hidden bones. It’s such a cool immersive experience!
There’s themed rooms with meteor showers, pterosaurs, wooly mammoths, and life-sized animatronic dinosaurs. You’ll be wowed by the 15-foot-tall T-Rex!
8) Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Looking for some family fun?
This modern retro-glam bowling alley is so much fun!
There’s 10-Pin bowling, billiards, live music and more.
9) Movie Theater
There’s a large movie complex at Disney Springs as well. 6 of the 24 theaters offer a cool dine-in theater option that serves food right to your seat!
10) Hot Air Balloon
The Aerophile Hot Air Balloon is an icon of Disney Springs. You can’t miss it! This tethered balloon ride lasts about 8 minutes and offers views up to 10 miles away on a clear day.
This is the world’s largest hand-painted helium balloon that was custom-built for Disney and goes up to 400 feet. The balloon’s basket hold can 29 people plus the pilot.
It’s such a cool experience that your older kids are sure to enjoy!
11) Train Rides
If you have little ones, be sure to check out the train rides at Marketplace Train Express. It’s a short loop, but your little ones will love it!
12) Chocolate Shop
Kids will enjoy stopping by The Ganachery.
You can watch master chocolatiers make handcrafted chocolate creations.
So neat to watch and if you like, you can buy something they’ve made!
13) Circus
Be sure to check out the amazing Cirque du Soleil. This fun show puts a Disney twist on the excitement and acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil.
14) Vintage Amphicar Tours
Want a one of a kind experience? Try the Vintage Amphicar Tours!
This is a 20-minute guided boat tour of Lake Buena Vista.
You get to ride in a vintage Amphicar, which is an amphibious vehicle that can drive on both land and float on water.
15) Free Ferry Boat ride
If you are looking for some free fun, be sure to check out the ferry boats that go to Disney Resorts.
One of our favorites is the Sassagoula Steamboat that goes to Port Orleans resort. You can take the short ferry boat ride over and stop at Port Orleans to get beignets!
It’s such a fun little adventure that doesn’t cost anything (except, of course, buying the snack!)
You can find the free ferry boats to resorts at the docks on the northwest corner of Disney Springs.
16) Dole Whip
Did you know you can get Dole Whip at Disney Springs? You can find it at Swirls on the Water (near the Rainforest Cafe).
It’s a tiny little stand that serves up this delicious soft serve pineapple whip! YUM!
17) Street Shows
You never know what you’re going to see at Disney Springs.
There’s often live performances just around the corner.
Sometimes you can find the Coca-Cola polar bear outside of the Coca-Cola store for a photo op!
You just never know what you’ll see!
18) Galactic Outpost
Have a Star Wars fan with you? Be sure to check out the Star Wars Galactic Outpost. You’ll find tons of Star Wars merchandise.
There’s clothing, lightsabers, pins, toys, art, and other souvenirs sure to delight your Star Wars fan.
19) Stitch Spits
Kids will get such a kick out of this one! There’s a giant Stitch that sits on top of the World of Disney Store.
Stitch periodically will “spit” water into the crowd below. It’s hilarious to watch and really fun for young kids.
20) Loch Ness Monster
There’s tons of amazing giant Lego creations to check out around the Lego Store at Disney Springs.
Probably the most notable one and definitely the largest one, is the Loch Ness Monster that sits in the water nearby. It’s huge Lego creation and absolutely a must-see!
21) Goofy’s Candy Company
Goofy’s Candy Company is so much fun! There’s walls of candy! It’s the perfect place to grab a little treat.
22) Marketplace Carousel
If you are looking for a little piece of Disney outside of the parks, stop by the Marketplace Carousel.
This beautiful merry-go-round is sure to delight little ones!
And of course there’s so much more! Every restaurant has it’s own theming and vibe. You’re sure to find tons of options for family fun.
Be sure to get to Disney Springs early if you can. It’s truly magical when there’s hardly anyone around…and a great reprieve from the busyness of the theme parks.
It’s a great way to build in a little relaxation into your Disney trip.
