Did you know you can meet The Mandalorian and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) at Disney World?
Yes! It’s absolutely true!
If you are a Star Wars fan, I’m sure you’ve been enjoying The Mandalorian series on Disney+.
This exciting series follows the story of a lone bounty hunter named Din Djarin, also known as the Mandalorian, who takes on a bounty job mission to seek out a small unusual creature.
After finding out that the person paying him for the job doesn’t have good intentions for the little Baby Yoda, he decides to back out of the deal and take the little guy with him.
Throughout the series, the Mandalorian continues to try to learn more about the little creature he refers to as the Foundling named Grogu, while protecting it from harm.
My husband and I really enjoy this series as it dives deep into the Star Wars storyline. And of course, even my young children who haven’t seen the show are drawn to the adorable baby Yoda.
Alright….let’s talk about where you can find the Mandalorian and baby Yoda at Disney World.
Where to Find the Mandalorian
Star Wars fans can find the Mandalorian at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge area near Black Spire Outpost.
You’ll find it between Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. This is just around the corner from Ronto Roasters.
The Mandalorian comes out of a covered area in the corner shown below.
He comes out about every 30-45 minutes and he usually has Grogu (baby Yoda) with him.
You can find appearance times for characters in the Star Wars land on the My Disney Experience App.
How to Meet the Mandalorian and Grogu
Meeting the Mandalorian is not your typical meet and greet. There isn’t a line. Instead, when the Mandalorian appears with his cast members, he will point into the crowd and if you are chosen, you can approach him.
If you have a little one who is eager to meet him, be sure to have your child smile and wave at him.
When you or your child is chosen, your whole group can approach the Mandalorian and pose for a pic. He usually talks for a brief moment with you and then moves on to the next group.
It’s truly a magical moment for kiddos who are obsessed with the ever adorable Grogu.
If it isn’t a busy day, you might find the Mandalorian strolling around Galaxy’s Edge, but in general, Mando doesn’t get very far away from his entrance before some adoring fans approach him.
Other Star Wars Characters in Galaxy’s Edge
The Mandalorian and Grogu aren’t the only characters you can find in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
We’ve also found Rey walking around and posing for pics! My kids love these random character interaction opportunities! It’s so exciting to happen upon a character walking around freely.
You might come across Chewy (Chewbacca) or one of the First Order Storm Troopers as well.
Kylo Ren can also be found as well over at the First Order Cargo Bay.
You can find more Character Meet and Greets or your favorite characters on the go by using the My Disney Experience App. Just go to the map of the park you are visiting, then use the drop down menu to show “characters”.
Also there are more Star Wars series characters available for Meet and Greets outside of Galaxy’s Edge, over past Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Many of the original characters like Darth Vader or Chewbacca can be found over here at the Star Wars Launch Bay.
This is the best place to head when the wait times skyrocket and it’s super hot outside. It’s not a bad thing to be inside waiting in the air conditioning to meet one of the most popular characters when it’s 100 degrees outside or on a rainy day.
Plus, just outside of Galaxy’s edge, Star Wars fans can enjoy the ride Star Tours as well.
This fun ride takes you into the Star Wars Universe. With several different versions to experience, you can be sure to enjoy your latest adventure as it can be different each time you ride in a single day.
